Students Impacted by Government Shutdown

Rutgers University Students Impacted By Government Shutdown

Rutgers University students who have been impacted by the current government shutdown may request to extend the deadline to pay their term bill.

To request an extension, please e-mail either Rutgers New Brunswick or RBHS and include your name, school of enrollment, and your 9-digit RU ID or A-number. Please have your authorized payer provide a copy of their Government issued ID or any verifiable documents. If they have not already signed up for the Authorized User Access, Rutgers NB students please click here, and RBHS here.

Students who have student loans are encouraged to reach out to their student loan providers to discuss the impact of the current furlough.  If you have other questions about Financial Aid, please send an email, visit Records Hall, 620 George St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 or call 848-932-7057. For RBHS students please contact the Financial Aid Office via e-mail, visit 675 Hoes Lane, C103, Piscataway NJ 08854 or call 732-235-3264.

We understand that this furlough may not only cause unexpected interruptions in income, but added stress. We remind students that Rutgers-New Brunswick always has resources available for those who wish to seek support, including:

We encourage any student feeling the need for that kind of support to reach out.

Thank you,
