Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans

The Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plan (RUTPP) allows you to pay your term bill charges in convenient monthly payments. We have partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce so you can pay your tuition and fees over time. This plan is interest free with monthly automatic deductions from a personal bank account via e-check payment, credit card  or debit card (Note that all card payments processed will incur a 2.7% service fee). There is a $50 enrollment fee per semester, which is nonrefundable and due at the time of enrollment.

The earlier you enroll the more payments that you will get to pay your plan balance. As you get closer to the start of the term, some options may no longer be available.

Please Note

  • You will need to log in through the online term bill (OTB) at paymybill.rutgers.edu to sign up for a payment plan.
  • All down payments are processed immediately.
  • Plan payments are automatically processed on the 15th of each month.
  • You will be charged a $30 returned payment fee if a payment is returned.
  • If you are using a credit or debit card, you may also see a receipt for the 2.7% service fee as a separate transaction.
  • All account balances not paid in full when due are the sole responsibility of the student and extend to all costs incurred by the university to collect such debt. This may include, but is not limited to late fees, collections costs, litigation/attorney's fees, and court costs.
