Where is my refund and when will I receive it?

You will receive an email indicating when your refund is available. Paper checks are mailed out to the student's address on file, and if you signed up for direct deposit expect to receive your refund in your bank account within 3-5 business days.

Can I sign up for Direct Deposit?

Yes, we encourage students to sign up for direct deposit in order to receive your refunds fast, easy and secure. Click here to register for Direct Depost.

I already have Direct Deposit set up for my paycheck at Rutgers, can I get my refund through that?

No, you need to set up a new Direct Deposit specifically for your student refunds.

I am an International student who does not have a U.S Bank account. What should I do?

If you processed payment online through Flywire, we can refund the original payor’s account directly. Please note, Flywire may charge a 0.5% refund processing fee. Please immediately email us at studentrefunds@sa.rutgers.edu if you prefer this refund option. Please include your 9-digit Rutgers ID number (RUID) in the email.

Can you check if my refund is in your office, I never received my paper check?

All paper check refunds are mailed out to the student's address on file. If you just moved, please make sure to update your address and contact our office. We would need to cancel the original check and reissue you another one.

How much is my refund?

You should be able to view and verify your refund amount on your online term bill account.
