Important Announcements (as of November 2, 2009)

  • NEW - ELECTRONIC BILLING! Students will not receive paper bills in the mail. Students are asked to view and pay their bills over the web. You may pay your student account here. Spring semester bills are due on January 5, 2010.

  • Winter session bills are due on December 7, 2009. For more information about Winter session, visit http://wintersession.rutgers.edu.

  • New! RU Book Advance for New Brunswick Financial Aid Students. If you are attending the Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway Campus, and will be receiving a refund from your financial aid for more than $500, Rutgers will allow you to use $500 of your financial aid refund to purchase your books from the University's New Brunswick/Piscataway bookstores during the beginning of each semester.

Your RU Book Advance account of $500 will be automatically set up for you unless your financial aid refund is less than $500, or you elect to decline establishing the account.
(Note: The amount received from Parent PLUS loans are not included in the refund calculation.) For more information and instructions, click here.

  • Students are expected to confirm their attendance every semester even if their charges are fully covered by their financial aid. Students are expected to pay their semester charges or make payment arrangements before the first day of class. For students registering during the first two weeks of the semester, payment is due at the time of registration.

  • New Brunswick students who have received an email notifying them that their refund is available may pick up their checks at their local cashier's office. Click here to view the status of your refund via your online statement of account.

  • COMING SOON - You will be able to have your refund electronically deposited to your bank checking or savings account.

  • Please visit your local Student Accounting/Business Office if you are having financial difficulties.

  • The University's Board of Governors approved tuition and fee rates for the 2009-2010 academic year. Click on one of the following links to view tuition and fee information for the corresponding campus:

  • About Student Accounting/Cashiering

Our Office ensures the proper billing of students' accounts and provides professional, prompt, courteous services to students resolving financial problems on an individual basis. We manage the charges and credits of your student account including your tuition, fees, housing, dining, miscellaneous charges, payments, financial aid credits and tuition remission and waivers for every semester that you attend the University.

Functions supporting student services are performed by specific departments within the University. For example, you will need to call the University Housing Office directly for questions or problems regarding your housing and you will need to call the Dining Office directly to adjust or change your meal plans. Please note the first year Resident Students are required to select either the 285, 255 or 210 meal plan options. Questions regarding Financial Aid Awards should be directed to the Financial Aid Office. The Registrar's Office handles all student registration issues, grades and transcripts. Parking permits and violations are handled through the Department of Transportation Services on the Camden, New Brunswick, and Newark campuses respectively. Online schedule of classes, staggered class schedule and exam schedules are handled through Scheduling.
