Financial Holds

University departments and offices may place "holds" on registration, diplomas, and transcripts for students having outstanding financial obligations with the university. If a student has not made payment to an office on a timely basis for services received or other transactions, Financial Holds will be placed on student records and transcripts. The Financial Hold will block registrations and transcripts until the delinquent financial obligation is cleared. For example, outstanding financial obligations include parking fines, unpaid parking tickets, unreturned books to the library, unpaid tuition and fees, unpaid student loans and uncompleted Exit interviews.

All account balances not paid in full when due are the sole responsibility of the student. The student is responsible for all costs incurred by the university to collect such debt. This may include, but is not limited to, late fees, collections costs, litigation/attorney's fees, and court costs.

Students can pay their financial hold and view their account over the web at: https://finservices.rutgers.edu/finhold/.
