Each semester, the Student Accounting, Billing, and Cashiering office is here to help you with your account and term bill. On this website and at our offices, we can assist you with making payments, applying credits, and resolving issues that concern your term bill.
Student Account Checklist
Registered students can use this checklist to ensure that their account is paid in full and/or that they have confirmed their attendance at Rutgers.
Review your term bill
- Rutgers emails notices and sends postcards to notify students when the term bill is available to view online.
- Ensure that the tuition and fees are correct.
- Understand how to apply any financial aid, tuition remission, and scholarship credits to your account.
Enroll in or waive health care coverage
All full-time students are required by New Jersey state law to be covered by health insurance.
Pay your term bill
You can pay by check, money order, credit card, or electronic check, or sign up for a payment plan.
Confirm your attendance
If your term bill is zero or you anticipate credits, such as financial aid or loans that would make your term bill zero or less than zero, you are required to confirm your attendance.
Clear financial holds
If your term bill is not paid in full by the due date, a financial hold will be placed on registration, diplomas, and transcripts. Financial holds can also be placed on your student account for additional outstanding payments.
